The next steps on this journey of creating the Valentines Day Dress involved cutting the pieces out and sewing some of the main ones together. I found a great silk de chine fabric that I thought really highlighted the red lizard print on the faux leather and I loved the combination of the black grey and white with the red. I clipped and pinned the pieces together on the manequin to make sure everything was going to fit properly and made adjustments where necessary. I began to create detailing with some smooth faux black leather; like the gathered area in the neckline and the beltloops and began to formulate the design of a sexy belt that would go under the bust. Getting there…and looking good!
